Elizabeth Danquah-Brobby, Associate Attorney

Elizabeth Danquah-Brobby focuses her practice in the area of Family Law at Rismiller Law Group. She works with individuals and families in cases involving divorce, custody, child support, domestic violence and related issues.

Ms. Danquah-Brobby’s legal experience includes serving as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Kevin G. Hessler, Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland. She assisted the judge in managing a caseload focused on family law and civil matters. Her experience clerking has given her an insider perspective as to how the court handles cases, while her experience as a certified mediator helps her recognize that many cases can be resolved without the need to litigate.

Throughout law school she worked as a law clerk at a Silver Spring law firm, where she assisted attorneys with both family law issues and employment discrimination matters.
Additionally, while in law school, Ms. Danquah-Brobby worked as a student attorney with the Juvenile Justice Project Clinic, and the Bronfein Family Law Clinic, representing clients in divorce and protective order proceedings, spent time as a legal research assistant, and worked in the Maryland Office of the Public Defender as a Summer Intern.

Ms. Danquah-Brobby is licensed to practice law in the state of Maryland, and is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association. She earned a B.A. in Art, graduating magna cum laude, from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. She earned her J.D., graduating summa cum laude and in the top 1% of her class, from The University of Baltimore School of Law. While in law school she worked as Staff Editor of the University of Baltimore Law Review, and was the esteemed recipient of the Law Faculty Award for the evening-student division for exhibiting unusual qualities of scholarship, leadership, and service to the community.

Ms. Danquah-Brobby is passionate about working with families and individuals and helping them navigate through challenging times. She describes her practice as a balance, serving clients with respect to their legal needs, but also recognizing their personal and emotional needs throughout the process.
